Hi, I’m Sophie, the founder of Tide & True.
I started Tide & True because I could see how many people were craving real connection but getting lost in the noise of apps and small talk. After years in recruitment, including working with high profile clients, I learned that true compatibility is about how people communicate and feel together, not just what looks good on paper.
I also worked for a match making company in Australia and it showed me how powerful face to face connection can be when the environment feels relaxed and intentional. That experience shaped a lot of what Tide & True offers today.
My background in education and mental health support means I understand how overwhelming modern dating can be. Tide & True is designed to be the opposite of that. It is a space where people can take a breath, feel heard and meet others who value honesty and emotional awareness.

I get to know each person personally and match them with intention, based on values, lifestyle and deeper compatibility. I also create calm, mindful spaces for in-person connection, starting with small curated events in December.
