I started Tide & True because I could see how many wonderful people were becoming burnt out by modern dating. Endless swiping, superficial conversations and dating fatigue were leaving people feeling disconnected, even though what they really wanted was a genuine relationship.

I’ve always been fascinated by people and passionate about helping others build meaningful connections. Throughout my career, I’ve worked in recruitment, including headhunting for high-profile clients, where I learned that the right match is about far more than qualifications or first impressions. It’s about understanding personalities, values, communication styles and long-term compatibility.

I was also fortunate enough to work for a dating company where I saw first-hand the difference a thoughtful, personal approach can make. Watching people meet in a more intentional way showed me that dating doesn’t have to feel rushed or transactional. That experience inspired many of the values that Tide & True is built on today.

Alongside this, my background in education and mental health support has given me a deep understanding of people, emotional wellbeing and the importance of feeling genuinely seen and heard. I know that opening yourself up to dating can feel vulnerable, especially after disappointment, heartbreak or years of feeling overlooked. My aim is to create a space where people feel comfortable, respected and never judged.

Bringing together my experience in recruitment, headhunting, matchmaking and mental health has allowed me to create something that feels different. Tide & True isn’t about endless swiping or matching people based on a checklist. It’s about taking the time to truly understand who someone is and introducing them to people with real potential for connection.

Whether that connection grows into a lasting relationship or simply reminds someone that genuine people are still out there, my hope is that every client feels supported, valued and optimistic throughout the journey.
