Information we gather
When clients enquire about or join Tide & True, we may collect personal information to help us provide a personalised matchmaking service. This may include a client’s name, age, location, contact details such as email address and phone number, relationship preferences, lifestyle interests, personal values, and information about the type of partner they are hoping to meet.
Clients may also choose to provide photographs and additional information about their personality, background, or relationship goals. This information helps us better understand each client and make thoughtful introductions based on compatibility. All information is collected with the client’s consent and is used solely for the purpose of providing the Tide & True matchmaking service.
Systems used to manage your data
To operate the Tide & True matchmaking service, we may use secure digital systems to manage client relationships, agreements, and invoicing.
These systems may include customer relationship management software, digital document signing tools, and accounting platforms.
These platforms are used solely to deliver our services and follow industry security standards to protect personal information.

How your data guides our introductions
The personal information clients share with Tide & True helps us understand their personality, values, lifestyle, and relationship goals. This allows us to thoughtfully identify potential matches who share similar intentions and compatibility. Sophie personally reviews each client profile and uses this information to guide introductions, ensuring that potential matches are based on genuine compatibility rather than automated algorithms.
Client information is used solely for the purpose of providing the Tide & True matchmaking service and improving the quality of introductions. No personal information is shared with another client without the individual’s consent.

Your rights, your control
Clients have the right to access, update, or request the removal of their personal information at any time. If a client wishes to review the information we hold about them, correct inaccurate details, or request deletion of their data, they can contact Tide & True directly.
We will respond to all requests in accordance with UK GDPR regulations and take appropriate steps to update or remove personal data where requested. Clients may also withdraw their consent for their information to be used in the matchmaking process at any time.
If you wish to contact us regarding your personal data, please email: sophie@tideandtrue.co.uk.
If you believe your data has not been handled correctly, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

How long we keep your information
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to provide our matchmaking services and fulfil our legal obligations.
If a client relationship ends, personal data will either be securely deleted or anonymised after a reasonable period unless it is required for legal, tax, or accounting purposes.
